i haven't been able to write lately. main reason
being is the lack of time to spend quality hours
with myself and most probably the lack of
enthusiasm to sit down, have a cup of coffee
and then, let my disoriented thoughts be converted
in to words, in the end creating an incoherent work
of (once and will always be) a stagnant mind. i guess
part of me's just scared that this would perhaps,
expedite the realization process that what i've been
doing for more than a year now is tantamount to
what our history professor would tell us in one of our
high school discussions--of a suspected native being
fed to ants or a slave being forced to swallow water
until the victim suffers great agony that becomes intense
every moment... such instances collectively known
as torture.

it pains me everyday to go to work and get up
as early as 5am. to spend 10 pesos for every
"habal-habal" ride going to the office from my
"not-so-special-boarding house". or to pay 120 pesos
for every cab ride i take if i depart from my hometown
which is like an our ride going to the office if i take
a jeepney. to log in to my computer and face the same
web-based tools, same tools that helps us pull out from a
rather irate/demanding/upset/stupid/melodramatic/what
have you caller. to take my first break, personal, lunch,
second break (if you're working in a call center i'm sure
you're pretty familiar with all of these) every shift. to
save my documentations for every finished or unfinished
call. to log-out of my tools and go to the nearest mall
or carenderia” just to have dinner. to sleep and wait for
my cellphone to alarm which is just like waiting for an
omen before going to battle.

this upsets me every time. evvveeeerrry day. to do the
same thing all over again not unless i graduate.

and you may be wondering why i'm still here.

well perhaps i'm just tired. a not so uncommon feeling for
someone who has been working for more than
twelve straight hours speaking with a bunch of what
revolutionary intellectuals refer to society as
"imperialists" just to earn $10 for every four hours of
rendered overtime. pathetic,i should say, but certainly a lot
better than not having work at all.
